Undeniably winter has arrived.
Underground, saturated sweat
Forty-three on a one through ten
She no longer breeds obscenity from her lips
Meeting mine, the envious taste of liquor
Back! Back I say!
The scurvy dogs and their ominous cats
Prowling, pawing, purring away
Is she so wrong? Blindfolded at the sight
Of the others
Laughing their channel 16 cackles
Right down to their Sylvester Stallone sneers
No, these scenarios play professions
Like small private colleges
Building up your insecurities
Only to allow them to evaporate on a plastic dish
Easily enabling the separation of hope and disgust
Smoke, such dainty smog
Rising from the ashes of the next teenage savior
Ready to deal out his or her way of wielding smart remarks
Unconcealed drug paraphernalia and sexual tension
The fan blades spin
Mouthing off like boys to their mothers
Girls to their fathers
Birds to the foxes
Stealing their screaming children out of their stick fortress
Nauseated constrictions
All put so perfectly in place
What's the point of falling asleep, when you're never really comfortable?


The Power of Coal & Fossil Fuels
Her face grew as red as the fire before her
Her breath as hot as the coals around it
And when she spoke, it was though they would never see the sun
Thick clouds of ash and smoke curled and calmly scattered
Forming shadows and shapes flickering in and out of visibility
They were scared
They were frightened
But with their cowardice came power and curiosity
She stood before them, a towering giant
Dancing and moving amongst the band of men
She hovered above, kissing each one on the cheek
They were enemies
They were friends
But all this no longer mattered as vengeance swept through the air
They had found revenge
They had found anger
And she too had found them
