When passersby stop to taunt and cast stones
she is watching...
When war and hell break lose
she is there seeing, feeling,
the warm, fresh blood
that seeps through the open flesh
and stains the satin sheets.....
For she
is the girl
who lives behind my face.
She is vicious, deadly
Always seeking
Desperately
Trying to find a way out.
When I finally break down
And my eyes storm
raining, falling onto the sidewalk beneath me
She tries to escape
And sometimes a little of her will slip out...
But I know I can never satisfy her begs
her desperate pleading
Because if the outside world could see her
Could see that beautiful hate
That gleams so brightly in her eyes
If she could finally get the revenge
that she has wanted for so long....
Perhaps she would take over me
Consume me...
That same hate that consumed
those passersby
who taunt and cast stones
Would consume me...
