I'm Alex. Love me hate me, I'm me. I won't
change I'm here to stay. I made a promise
I wouldn't disappear again, I wont lose myself
in this battle with depression. I have made
many promises in my life and try my best not
to break them. I love my friend to death and
will do anything to keep them happy. I like so
many bands that its hard to keep track. I'm a
friendly person, but my personality tends to
drive people away.
We don't live on lies, but they do help heal the pain, but truth for its far to much to bare.
People - some, anyway - look up to me as a "brick wall," and unmovable person, unhurtable. Sometimes, this helps them through what they need to do, but I'm not that person, I'm not nearly as strong as people may think, I'm not as detached. There's actually quite a bit that bothers me, but for the sake of those few people who look to me for strength, I don't show it to many people. Any of it comes out when I'm around someone I can really trust. I'm not sure if any of you know the 'real' me, not the me that I show you at first, but it's not really worth knowing.
It's like in the words of Billy Joel, "We all have a face that we hide away forever and we take it out and show ourselves when everyone else has gone."
This is the face I show myself, this is the real me. If you don't care, fine. If it makes you not want to talk to me, fine; but at least show the courtesy to keep it between us.
