Dear my angel,
A few things I need to know,
Where are you when I'm so low.
Where were you when I fell,
Angel do you not hear me yell?
I call for you,
To help me see each day through.
Angel did you fall,
Or am I really that small.
To small for you to see me,
Or maybe my needs aren't that worthy.
But I do need you,
Angel I really do.
My tears are proof of my pain,
Enough tears for a storm of rain.
Tears that turn into streams,
Angel you are always in my dreams.
I float in these streams of tears,
Floating here for years and years.
You still do not come,
With these cold waters I turn numb.
Not being able to hold on anymore,
Floating for so long its made me sore.
I start to sink,
The next that happened started with a blink.
With a blink I opened my eyes,
Turned my head up to the skies.
With no more breath as I sink lower,
My heartbeat going slower.
Above the water do I see,
The angel who was watching over me.
Trying to call for help I reach out my hand,
Timing so right almost planned.
Something wasn’t right,
The sky turned dark with no light.
Angel did not take my hand to save me,
Like it wasn’t meant to be.
But my angel looks as heavenly as can be.
Then the thought that made me shudder hit me.
I try to gasp for another breath,
It’s not my angel but the angel of death.
Blankly up at this angel I stare,
It looks back with a glare.
The angel that was meant to save,
Instead led me to my grave... |
