Makeup & Hair advice!

by redruM on 12-18-2007 3:07 pm

Im so glad that this post has kept going
unfortunatly there is an awful lot of replys, that i simply dont have
time to go through! im back. i have free time between dance and work
so i'll be taking back over again!!!! Kiki here and at your service!!!!

So i've taken courses and jazz and i do my friends
makeup and hair all the time. People even pay me =D
so if you have any questions...such as:

why wont my hair stay teased?
why dont my eyes look right?
why is my eyeliner not bold enough?
why wont my eyelashes stay on?

you can even post pictures and i'll give you a step by step on how to get "that" look ...same for hair...

if still you dont achieve what you want. i'll gladly post a video tutorial

don't be scared to ask...even if its a simple question
=D

ok sure i got a question...

first off i have been cutting my own hair for about a year now and the trickiest part in my opinion would be the sides and side layers.

my question is how do you go about cutting the sides of your hair and expeially the bit infront of the ears if this is making sence.. do you comb it stright out vertiacally and hold it at a angel or start from the top and work down to get all the laeyers one lenght horizontaly ???

fast and easy tip....
use liquid eyeliner!!!!
apply it nice and thick on the top
and just at the outer corner of your eye and slightly onto the bottom *your water line* it looks pretty and makes your eyes pop Very Happy

when cutting your own hair...it can be difficult to give advice cause i dont know the type of hair you have and details like that .....but in general I would do both.... hold it out on an angle* the way you want in to fall into place* and start from the top to get the best results i would use a "razor" like the hair salon kind...not a regular one lol...you can get them pretty cheap

if that doesnt help let me know and i'll see if I can find some pictures on how to cut it Very Happy

true....using a razor isnt too hard though ....i'd suggest practicing on a few barbies/dolls first.....but the motion is rather easy its almost like a quick down motion....when you go to buy one ask the person at the store if they could show you how ....if not like i said let me know and i'll find some step by step pictures

totally jealous of your long lashes XD
its rather quite easy .....with your non dominate hand use your fingers to hold your lashes down/eye shut and with your dominate hand take your pencil *although if your going for the whole BAM! boldness.liquid eyeliner is the way to be* .....but take your pencil starting at the middle of your lash line draw back and forth so its dark ...using almost a choppy motion.... then work your way to the outer lash line of you eye....and do the inside *closest to your nose* last....

p.s.
i'm going to be doing a tutorial on eyeliner
since alot of people have problems/questions about it
*all tutorials will be posted on the original first post*

a good hair straighter for one...I found that my old hair straightener wasnt the best and it would only keep my hair straight for about half an hour....also use hairspray before and after you straighten your hair...it stays straight that way Smile
