I'm actually getting really sick of people always fighting over what genre a band is...
Sure, I do it sometimes. I'm not gonna lie.
But I just read all these threads (here) or blog posts (elsewhere, obviously) like "oh all the music you listen to sucks...they're not "REAL" emo...not "REAL" punk..." you get my point?
what does it matter?

Unless, of course, there are people who claim to BE emo/punk/indie/whatever because they listen to certain bands...
Then that's just stupid.
Don't let music define you...

Me, I listen to music in all genres...
Taking Back Sunday, Freezepop, The Descendents, Kidneythieves, Rammstein, Hawthorne Heights, and YES - some of what's on the Top 40.
I'm still me, no matter what I listen to.

Thoughts?
