Tragic Mess
By: Corrie Mikel
I’m just a big
Tragic
Mess
Please, this is your WARNING
You may continue reading, but afterwards
I suggest you escape from me
Try to keep your distance
I’ve screwed up so many times
I’m worthless
I do so great
Then when it’s my time to shine
I die
Like a light bulb in a thunderstorm
No one truly needs me
I’ve been rusting away
Hiding in the dark corner
Unaware of life around me
I use to be so great
So useful
So needed
What happened?
I use to be the greatest tool in the world
When did people stop needing me?
I understand growing up
But that doesn’t mean you don’t need me
I need you to need me
Now, just because I said that
Doesn’t mean I want you to talk to me
Though I may want it
It’s best for you to keep your distance
I’m rather useless now
And I only screw up things
I’m just a big
Tragic
Mess
Tragic
Mess
