Does anybody else spend more time thinking about buying more gear/ gawking at new gear on ebay/ selling your soul for minimum wage just to buy new gear/ etc. than actually playing?

Yeah. I spend way 2 much time in the local drum shop, that the owners acctually recognize me, and say "you gunna buy summit 2day"
But i do spend a bit of time on them coz im the drummer in our band [we suck]

I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to drums, I know the basics and a few fill-ins but that's about it.
However, I still want to play along to songs, and I'm wondering if someone knows a few songs that are easy to play?

this goes for all the instruments though. i gaze at its detail and beauty and wish so bad i could have them.
i just walk slowly through the stores and wish so bad i could play

Green Day stuff is easy 2 play, i can play that stuff, and im not really a good drummer, but yeah. Give GD a try

They're a good starting band to learn.
Or try The Clash, or Oasis. I used to play all that stuff when I started out.
I've been playing drums for about 15 years now.
I spend too much money on buying new gear, although I only have a very small set up.
