Okay, I know that a lot of you don't stereotype yourselves (I am one of them) but if you really HAD TO what stereotype would you group yourself in? Be truthful, and explain why. Also, please don't post 'emo' post 'scene'.
I'd consider myself maybe a Indie rocker.
I dress scene, but it's melded into Indie. The music I listen to is generally lesser known, and I tend to dislike most mainstream music. I gravitate to everything striped and plaid, and I enjoy retro clothes. I tend to mix though, because I also like sporadic t-shirts with lots of colors and imagery. Black is great, but I can't stand not having something to mix up the colors with. I really like going to local acoustic shows and seeing local bands play.
I'm doing this thread so that everyone can take themselves a little less seriously. You should look at both sides of the argument, to understand it fully. The world is going to stereotype you anyways, so it's up to your personality to shine through. I'm way against 'following the herd', but if when your typing this out you end up sounding like everyone else, maybe you should reevaluate what your doing.
Call me hypocrite, but post about your stereotype first.
If you HAD to stereotype yourself, what would you be?

Hmm..I'm not sure..I would probably call myself just "normal" or "casual" or whatever but..I tend to dress sort of scene so..I guess I would say scene just because of how I dress.I would change my hair to look scene(cause I like those hairstyles)but I don't really want to change it,I've never cut it either in my life,so my hair doesn't look scene but I kind of dress scene..
Also,my music taste varies,I'm not too big on music so it's all different genres.
Sorry I couldn't really come up with much,I'm just that boring.

MetalHead.
I sound like such a fucking loser but this really is me. I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon. I am what i am and "MetalHead" is what describes me the best.
Im going into UNI to study music recording, editing and mixing so i can land a job at preferably a metal recording studio.
Or if my band makes it then that would be sweet.
Im in a Metal/Death Metal/Hardcore band.
I have the best metal guitar in the world and i fucking play it for a full fucking 6 hours everyday and it never gets fucking boring!
I listen to only metal. REAL metal like Trivium, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns n Roses, KotA, Children of Bodom, Dope, Divine Heresy, Finsterforst, Finntroll.
I guess i dress metal: Band t-shirt, jeans, messy long hair, old shoes. Kind of scrabby look.
I act all metal. like i swear alot in normal conversations like, "How was dinner?", "Oh it fucking kicked ass, FUCK YEAHHHHHHH"
So yeah, i classify myself one aswell.
And don't go saying. "Oh MCR and AFI are metal", because they are not. THEY ARE GHEY

dunno.....
i dress a combo of scene,skater,gangsta. so u can't stereotype me.
depending on my mood, i listen to either screamo, hardcore, deathcore, metalcore, rock.
then other times i'll be listening to hard tekno or electro house or reggae, dub.
and my music tastes get wider than that sometimes too...
i don't see bands as often as i go raving/clubbing. but <3333333 festivals and free parties(illegal squat raves) the most.

If i HAD to stereotype myself...i'd be a mixture of scene and old school. I listen to everything, but usually chose something along the line of secondhand serenade or thriving ivory--i wear everything except baggy clothes--love hoodies and tight pants and COLOR
I wish I had blue lipstick and freak scabs all over my body with random hairs poking out of my forehead. I wish I could be like that.

uhm... IDK... Probably somewhere in the "I'm not a fucking scene kid, but I like wearing black pants, t-shirts that say things, and hoodies." I can listen to everything from Ax7 to Metro station to The spill canvas.
so.... yeah.
so.... yeah.

RE: If you HAD to stereotype yourself, what would you be?
I really don't know what I would stereotype myself as.
I can dress in short skirts and low-cut tops one day, and be adorned in skin-tight black the next. I can listen to pop, electronica, rock, alternative, etc in the space of just a few hours without loathing what I hear. And can go from being on top of the perfect rainbow to eating the damn thing later whilst puking stardust mood wise. But hey, so can all teenagers.
If anyone can think of a stereotype, tell me. I sure as hell can't think of one.

"Out Cast" for sure.
At least in high school. I had a group of friends but we were all out casts, the left overs of society that all seemed to fall together into one trench. At that time I'd probably also say the "quiet kid" the one that's too quiet, but I've since grown out of that into the "hopeless romantic". I would probably add goth into that somewhere but I don't think I'm into it enough to be called that.

I'd probably be the loner, I wish I had a group of friends, but even all the outcasts thought I wasn't good enough.
