Geek or Goth.
While I know enough about both 'real' generalizations to know I am
neither geek nor even close to goth, when people see me its generaly
'Oh, that ugly goth chick' or 'The geeky girl'.
Geeky because I'm very into my studies, and coding/webmaking enthrals me.
I can spend hours overanalyzing something simply, I roleplay and have a slight obsession with Dungeons and dragons, I dress in whats comfortable and convienent, even though I don't look pretty or give a damn about my looks more then a little. I have enough self-esteem to be comfortable admitting to myself that no real guy is ever going to like me as more then a friend because my interests are just to damn weird, and I'm very awkard when it comes to flirting.
Goth sterotype comes from my love of the architecture and victorian/renisance clothing.
While steampunk would probably be a better example of what I like, they generally look at the black hair/black nails/black eyeliner/black clothing and dog coller and go 'OMG GOTH GIRL LOOLLOOLOLOLOL'. I've been caught writing poetry, and when I had a couple of wiccan books out that finished the lable.
Yeah, I know these have almost nothing to do with the 'real' parts of them, but this is how I've found people view me. There relatively close to what I'd have to be if I had to lable myself anyway I guess.
