dead and breathing

every morning i wake to the pain of missing you.
and i fall asleep to its injections of lonliness.
its become like an old friend. a friend that never leaves.
missing you is like dying.
over and over and over and over and over....every second every day.
i cant let myself feel the emptiness.
i cant let myself need you anymore.
and the knowledge of you still missing me
but not being willing to try. harder. one more time.
is more than i can take...
sometimes i pretend youre there, just to fall asleep.
and some days, its a wonder im alive, with the pain so intense.
i dig through my pockets
the metal shines
it slides across my waist and the red tears im crying are for you.
did you get my letter?

definetley not my best work, but it suits the mood.
