My Hyena WIP.
I'll update this thread periodically as I continue with the drawing.
This is one of my hyena drawings, since I've recently become enthralled with the animals.
I colored it in colored pencil first, but the scanner killed it, so i began photoshopping.
Oh, this is also post 666 for me. :)
-edit. Okay. Image cut off. Heres the link.

Unshaded, still finishing adding all the color and detail in.
If I do a base for this, I might make customs for an Rp-site, if I'm dedicated anyway.
Critic perchance? (Constructive please.)
Step Two:
Edit: Alright, I removed the original drawing, and just kept the link to it since
I'm kinda doing a step-by-step thread so I can view my progress. Rough shading,
spent a little time deciding if I wanted him more cartoony or more realistic, and eventually
decided to screw it and just experiment.
His ears and mane are in no way being closed to finished, but I got the basic idea
of where i want his body shading to be. It looks like I'll have to darken it, especially around his belly,
because it looks fine in the largescale version, but when I resized it I could really see where I was missing.
I'll either finish his shading or get an idea of what I want for a background. Probably just going to do some simple stuff, and make the rest transparent. We'll see.
Oh yes, Image HAS been resized, so I removed the warning.
Step Three:
Almost done! Yay! I darkened the shading a little bit, but have grown attatched to the way it is because..
well, I'm not sure. >> But I like it this way a little better. Made his mane a bit darker, and screwed around with his ears (still not liking the way theyre coming out.) Overall, not a huge difference. The background is a half-assed effort I'll be *thinking* about fixing up to look a little better. Though, given my lazyness, the most I'll probably do is add some clouds or something. The white in the top left corner is there for a reason; it'll eventually contain something or the other that I still havn't decided about. Will Add more later.
