I remember once I died my hair and then like a month later I decided to buy that product from Sally that will chemically straighten my hair, the same night when i went to wash my hair, i started loosing hair, i was crying so hard cause my mom had to cut my hair short and the worse was that the following day was my first day in junior year.. I have to live with my damaged hair for a year, cutting it everytime it gets longer until i got rid of the damaged hair.

I hope you know what you will do and that your stuff will work.. afro-ey hair might resist that.

Coon tails look so hot with black hair.. i don't like to see them much on blonde hair... You can go for the black/blonde ones, especially that you will die your hair black. If you want to add them.. tell your hairstylist to cut the top of your hair a little shorter and keep the lenght untouched.. just layer the whole hair and thin it out as said but not too much in the top part of your hair because later when you add coon tails you might want to tease the top to give it puffy look.. with black/blonde coon tails, your hair will look something like that

ona my freinds is half black, and she has very coarse curly hair, (having curly hair i think is a must for this look if your racial so you might wanna get a perm or whatever) but what she does, is put it all back in a pony tail, and takes her long bangs and leaves them out, and she died them light red, and they hand out on the side of her face, and she straightens them too....and it looks amazing, and its a very simple style: Just putting all the curly hair in a pony tail, leaving out the emo bangs, straightening just the bangs and leaving everything else curly and pulled back, and dying the bangs. (another must for a that hair type i think)
