any tips to how chris dakota and sam llansing get such huge thick spikes which appear to be super long as well?
tons of hairspray and straightening the spikes work to a certain extent......, but still doesn't get the spikes to be super long and doesn't give them that thick look to the hair tho....

Stick to what you were doing before straigting and lots of hairspary.
But also use some kind of "wax" ? I think it's called on top of what you are already doing.
Not sure if it will work because I don't do spikes but I have friends that do and thats how they do it.

I have Ben wondering the same thing for a long time how the hell do they make it sooo perfect because i plan to do the same style la8ter once perfected....
im like obsessed with them and there hair XD wow i drew pictures of them all day long and skipped classes lol

You need to tease it!
Take a look at the videos, do as they do and finish off by spray a lot of hairspray and then straighten it to get it spikey.
Use freezing hairspray, and if it still has problems with holding, try using spray wax while you're teasing it.
Might work (:
