How to share a layout.

So you spent the last three hours designing a beautiful profile layout with CSS, and now you want to share it with everyone so they can appreciate your work.

Your first instinct is to just slap down whatever code you have and wait for the admiration to pour in....well a week passes, and, no admiration...

Well it's most likely not your layout, it's how you shared it; you need to show off your layout right for people to appreciate (and use) it.

To help you, here are 4 simple things to do when you want to share a layout...

#1 Take a screen shot.
Seeing your work in action is worth a thousand words. Take a pic with fireshot (easiest option,) print screen, or something else, and add it into your post.

#2 Post the CSS in "[ code ][ /code ]" brackets.
Slapping your CSS down as plain text confuses people wanting to use your layout, it's hard to know where it begins and ends, and it's easy to break. Using the code tags (just like you would use "img" tags) will make things better for everyone, and your layout more popular.

#3 Comment on your layout.
Give a nice description of your layout (I mean you've been slaving over it so long right). I know you've included a picture (hopefully) but it's a bit of icing on the cake hearing what the designer thinks.

#4 Ask for suggestions and improvements.
It's rare to code anything without some bugs or things that can be improved. Accept suggestions (and compliments) and respond back; it makes people want to use your layout and increases it's (and your) popularity.
