The world doesn't understand you. It's really painful, your emotions running wild without anyone knowing, without anyone caring. Sometimes, you want to cry, sometimes you just sit there, all silent, cold and mute. It's easy to lose yourself in all those tears, it's easy to drown yourself with painful emotions. You think: Ah, this must be depression. I am feeling it now, and it hurts me so much. You feel so helpless - how do you fight something that does not have any physical form? It grows inside you, feeding on those sad circumstances in your life, making you its slave.

It hurts

It hurts

It hurts

Do you hear it now? The song? The pretty pretty song?

This needs to be in the masterpiece collection. Don't ask why.

Masterbation.

It does wonders when you're depressed.

I never heard of tuna and ginko helping. I do know however that in very mild causes St. John's wort can help (scientifically proven). It has side effects of course: you become more sensitive to light. I would recommend it to most people here (since most of those claiming to "be depressed" actually probably don't suffer form clinical depression) before going for the "real" ADs. However it will NOT help you if you have a major depression.
Generally: only taking meds is not enough. You should have therapy, too.

Pope wrote: "Although extreme treatment is often needed, sometimes just changing your routine can cure a major depression. If you feel trapped in your life, try getting out of town for a few days. If you feel chronically stressed out, try setting aside some time every night to do something that you love without any pressure, or need to deliver results. If your major depression seems to stem from feeling isolated, try getting involved with a social group and getting out a little more. It is your life, and you might be amazed at the dramatic results that can come from simply deciding to take charge of it."
This is utter bullshit. Bullshit like this, clearly written by someone who has no idea about it, makes me angry. Mad
Telling someone with a major depression to "go out and have fun and it'll better" is like telling someone with a broken leg to go run some miles and his leg will be better.
It's exactly what they can't do. And going out will NOT make them feel better. Because that what a fucking depression is. People with a major depression can't even get out of their bed - you expect them to go out and meet new people? Then you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Yes, iron can have this side effect and it should be noted on the package insert.
Don't take iron if you don't need it. Get your blood checked first and speak about treatment (if you need any) with your doctor. If your lack of iron isn't that bad just eat more meat.

This is actually one of the symptoms of depression.

Ningage wrote: Yeah, but pills aren't really natural, unlike Tuna, and the side effects can be worse than the actual depression itself >.>
Yes and no. A good doctor will help you find the right medication.
It will always have side effects. If you consider them worse than the depression, you probably don't need them anyway.

Actually no. It is exactly what they are supposed to do: give back motivation and energy. Giving back the happiness takes longer. Thus this danger of suicides: people were suicidal before but due to their severe depression couldn't bring themselves to do anything.
It is well known though and if people are suicidal they should be closely monitored during those weeks of medication, maybe even put into hospital.
Not the meds are to blame: they did what they were expected to do. If anything, blame the doctor.

Bravo!! Well Said.
I Thought This Was A Very Good Forum.
Karma For You!!
I don't know if you've ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years, or just not exist, or just not be aware that you do exist, or something like that. I think wanting that is very morbid, but I want it when I get like this. That's why I'm trying not to think. I just want it all to stop spinning.

this may or may not work on you, but it wont hurt to try drinking cocoa (main ingredient from chocolate). Cocoa can improve your mood plus its a good source of antioxidants. Some study found it may help your depression.

cocoa is the natural stuff from cocoa trees and its kinda bitter.

You can purchase a box of pure cocoa at the store
i know Sam's Club have it, Hershey's Cocoa. which i been drinking.
(And remember not to let your cats/dogs lick it; it can kill them)

try it for a while and let EB members know how u doing.
