Okay this is gonna sound stupid.
It came naturally.
When i was little, (starting in 4th grade)
I liked the scene look ya know.
but my mom didnt so i tried hard to steer clear of emo, goth, punk etc.
but then middle school hit.
all my friends started ditching me.
my parents didnt understand.
i just decided i was done pretending to not be emo.
bcuz truly ive always been emo.
idk.
just those little emo things like the music, the style of clothing, the hair, etc
just kinda crept up on me and...BAM!
Here I am! Surprised
“If I’m such and important person, why do you stutter when i ask you if you know my name?”

"What!? Since when was my name on the attendance, am i really that important?”

Well, it's a long story, but
I was hit in the head by a guitar
and part of it's DNA was combined
with my DNA. I was changed into
emo music. So, now I'm a
living music genre, though,
I wish it would have changed me to
techno, emo just makes too many people
sad...
But, yeah, that's how I became emo.

Hate to rain on the parade and this'll cause a lovely flamed from the uninformed... but Emo and Scene are 2 completely different cultures... They are like the complete opposite of each other

Emo hair - Down, across the face, often black
Scene hair - Asymetric, one part will be up in an extreme way the rest will be down, often in bright colours etc

Emo fashion - Lots of dark colours, particular emphasis on death, blood and depression
Scene fashion - Bright, retro style colours, big and out there, lots of different colourful things going on the clothes [Like Babycakes]

Emo music - Often a lot of screaming, hence 'screamo', bands often place focus on breaking up of relationships, unhappyness and anything they can complain about it seems
Scene music - Pacmac meets Joe the crack cocaine dealer basically, retro music remade, sounds from arcades and gameboys, crystal castles etc

Someone who listens to emo music and dresses in emo fashion is... emo.

Someone who listens to scene music and dresses scene is... scene
