Do you think your environment, the people arount you when you grew up, had anything to do with who you are now?
Personally, I don't think it did.. I mean, I grew up with preps and chavs!
It are people who hate me for who I am now. My sister is very different, and my parents are diferent than me. I have just 1 friend, who's kinda like me, and whe only are friends for like a couple of months! (first she ruined my live, and I wished she was dead xD)

I would agree with knave, even though events in your life play a part, how you dealt with them really is what matters. I think that it goes back to how you are as a person, your nature, is who you are more than the events that happened to you.

not really cuz my mom and dad are all like gangster and rap and stuff and i well cant stand it. Im totally different from any of my family members ususally alone at family get to gethers and stuff. but at school my whole school mostly is emo and rockers so i have some people i get along wif

A lot of you guys are saying that; your parents and people around you are chav's or prep's but your completly different, but your probably different becuase they are all prep's or chav's, because you don't want to be like them.. So you change your image and the way you appear to others.
But ultimatley as Knave and Ash said; It's the desicions you make and the way you act that make you who you are, not outside influences, although they can change your apperance and the way you seem to be, but your the same person inside.

my family is completly diffent than me and they always have been same with the people i live around theyve always not really liked me so ive been diffrent my whole life pretty much but all the shit and abusive and shit i guess helped add to it i was just born sad and diffrent

I'm not so sure that you can say that for a fact. The scientific community is divided as of now, with all of the new evidence coming in about genetics screwing everything up.

Your parents are like that. Haha, if I even watch it on mtv out of boredom my mom will just be like "get that shit off of my tv!" Yeah, she doesn't like the other type of music I listen to either.
I think my personality developed from my family and neighbors, but other than that nothing. My sister's a preppy slut and I didn't end up like her, when older siblings of the same gender are supposed to be the most you look up to.

i live in a east coast urban city so rap is life...for them...i grew to hate it early...and soon i was a shakspeare quotin goth....so sad..but i was more emo i realised coz as a goth told me like 8 years ago
