my parents seem to have a problem with everything i do
like my hair, they thought i was crazy, the way i dress, they even have a problem with my shoes. its starting to get really annoying
now they just wont leave me alone, they're always nagging me and they're watching me like a hawk, and they're getting so overprotective over nothing!!! They think im going to end up like a bum, and they think everything black is bad. And its really pissing me off
how can i get them to leave me alone

Maybe there just concerned for your well being...but the thing about black being bad and hating the way u want to dress is crazy...they should at least give you a little space to be an individual >.<

Well it sounds like they just care about you alot.
So show them that emo doesn't always have to be "dark". Lot's of emo music is filled with positive feelings aswell. Point out the lyrics to your parents.

So tell them that you'll still love them just as much if you listened to different music, or dressed differently.
It sounds like they need to be reminded that it's who you are inside that really counts. So tell them that if you think they need to hear it.

Oh god, my parents are sort of like that haha! While they don't limit what I do, they give me crap for it. They even talk behind my back, and assume I won't be able to do anything.
Honestly, the best thing you can do is do REALLY well in school and show them you have a clear, positive goal in your life (even if it's a lie)
Parents like that crap a lot more then they like or care about your personal life.
