This is something that always gets a good debate out of me and my friends, so ill post it here.

Is it okay to hit girls, even if youre a guy?

Personally I think so. Im not saying I have, but I think its ok.
My reasoning?

Girls today are claiming that they are the equivelant of men.
They say that they can have the same jobs, do the same things, make as much money, have as much power..etc
Btw, I agree with all of that.

A woman can hit a man and its fully acceptable, but men arent aloud to hit a woman? I dont mean a full out punch, as one dude would do to another. We dont need more wife beaters runnin around. If girls are the "same" as men, then why is it not "acceptable"?
If a woman does all that a man does, then she should take all of it. Not just the good perks, but leave the bad.

If they abuse it and cause enough harm I do believe retaliation is needed.

Then again, if a girl hit me I would retaliate anyway. I have a no exceptions rule.

Well, I know this sounds bad. But men are usually stronger then women. So usually smashing your fist into someone that can't fight back as well isn't really fair.

But I'd say if the girl hits first you have the right to fight back.


Well, I think women want to be treated the same on a mental level. At least I do.

Whoever is struck first always has the right no matter the gender to strike back.

Also Im not referring to self defense. Thats a given to strike back in that situation.

Typically they say that's not even acceptable to retaliate when stuck by a woman, and only to gra bthem to stop them from hitting.

If they abuse it like crazy and intimidate you to attack, and they get hit/punched, it's their fault and they'll know that they will be treated equally enough to be punched for trying to abuse a normally "unacceptable" thing.

Thus, they wont do it again, they'll know someone will attack them.
Don't taunt someone to attack you lol.

Well....I guess, at least what I've always heard from everybody, is that the girls are the "weaker" ones.
And so I guess your not supposed to pick on somebody weaker than you are. Dunno...I just don't like violence.
And slapping...(for example and no offense) just seems like a more girl thing to do. I mean picture a guy slapping a girl. It just doesn't seem quite as right. but then that's just me.

Well to be honest, if a guy hit me, I'd hit him back, but that's just me...
If the girl brought it on herself, she should expect it.
Guys DO tend to go a little overboard sometimes though, or they forget that even though girls can throw a few good punches here and there, we ARE built differently than guys, and 85% of the time guys are probably the ones that have more power.

IMO if she intitiates the physical abuse you can hit back I guess.
Keep in mind though that most chicks can't hit as hard as guys can though.
Women should be treated the same as guys on a mental level,
but we have to accept that we have different types of strength.

People just need to respect each other more in general.

I think I'd be more likely to hit a guy than a girl but chances are that if a girl hit me that she would be a total bitch anyway and deserve it.

(I laugh because double standards allow me to say this.)

My younger sister, we fought a lot when we were kids.... I wouldn't wanna hit her now, shes bigger than me!

there was a case near where i live. a guy walked in on his wife in bed with another dude. she tried to sue him cos he dragged her out of the bed by her hair

I think, if a woman can hit a man, whether playfully or seriously, a man should be able to hit back. I don't approve of it getting into an actual fight however. I don't care who starts it; I just don't like fights.
But I know I can't stop them. So whatever.
