I want to be emo, because other things don't work out, I am different yes...but that doesn't mean i am goth or punk. People keep calling me emo, so I will just be one. It feels good in the clothes and i want the hair really bad. What should i do? >.<

Help with my style
Hi, I am new to this site. If you can tell, i don't follow the basic "emo look," I have curly hair and tries to be straight when it is wet. I really need help, could i still be emo?

I can't help you much as far as hair advise (I leave that to the experts, of which there are many here)
But as far as the "scene" look goes (emo=ideology scene=fashion) here are some suggestions (people will probably disagree with me):
Tops: Hoodies, Band tees are generally acceptable here:
Bottoms: Skinny jeans are currently the mainstream for guys
Shoes: Converse normally would take standard here but their newest designs make me increacingly lean twards Vans:
Acessories: A good belt is a must you have probably seen the standard pyramid belt but here is a non-standard example:
Also a scarf if its a bit nippy:
Bring on the insults...

If people call you emo, you're doing something right.
Don't "try" to be emo, as you will end up coming off a poser.
Trust me, those who fall naturally into the scene - as you probably do, if you're not looking stereotypical and still being branded with the emo stick - have more street cred.
Also, a word for the wise: Don't mention emos, punks and goths as stuff that's similar. There's so much debate around that, that you're bound to get into a fight eventually.
