getting ink off shoes?

by Hidesincorners on 05-13-2008 3:16 pm

not sure if this should be here or in 'the emo bucket...'

but, ok, I'm tired of having ink on my converse, does anyone know a good way to get it off? I've tried hot water and soap but that just makes it fade and I can't seem to get it off more. Like, it faded some, but doesn't fade any more. Do I need like a stain remover or something? Shocked
Stupid question, I know, but I thought I'd ask, thanks in advance.

What the hell? That will totally mess up the shoes.

When caring for your Converse shoes, just say no to bleach! Use soap and water to clean shoes without damage. You can put your Converse shoes in the washing machine, but beware of fading colors. Don't put them in the dryer, however. Leave them out to air-dry.

Try spraying 409 cleaner on a washrag and scrubbing it off. It removes ink from toddlers when they write all over themselves, so it should work on shoes. Cool

DO NOT put them in the washing machine. It doesn't work. Confused

EDIT: (Just to explain the "doesn't work" thing.) I put mine in the washer and the ink simply faded. It didn't go off completely and also left splotches on the places that didn't have ink. (I'm assuming you mean ink on the rubbery parts Confused )
