feeling ever so lonely

Everyone tells me that I don't need a man or woman (i am bi) to complete my life. But I feel so empty! I wish I had someone to go to the amusement park with, to go to dinner with, to hold hands and snuggle with. Having the 'perfect' person in your life makes you feel complete. I remember something I heard from the musical Hairspray:

"Without love, life is like rock-and-roll without a drummer."

I agree with that statement. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever find anybody. It's almost like I'm all alone in the world...which isn't true, because I have a family and a couple of friends. Why do I feel so hollow inside? Sad

I'm sure someone has probably posted something like this before. Go ahead, mods, lock it for all I care. I just wanted to get that off my chest.
Genius has its limitations, but stupidity knows no such boundaries.

sometimes life is shit. I dont believe in perfection, but i've been lucky enough to find someone who makes me happy. You'll find someone, don't worry about it too much, just think of all the things you can do alone, without someone else saying they don't want to do what you want to do.

I know what you mean. It just seems like it's a lie..
No one who doesnt have another person is truly happy, and we can all see that.
Like those people who are 50 and single, I feel bad for them.
Because it just goes to prove the saying, "There is someone for everyone," is totally fake..
But then again it's not a perfect world.
I know what you mean though, I wish that too.
You'll find someone though, dont worry. It happens when you least expect it.

yeah no one is complete by himself.. and yeah i believe there's one for everyone, so dont worry u'll find that person, but till then u just live ur life normally along with ur friends and family [=

i sorta kno how you feel with having nobody
but i personally think that there will be someone out there for you
and sadly as it is, it might happen, or it might not
but keep your hopes up, and try to find who the special guy/girl will be
i think that everything will turn out fine

The "perfect" person is a lie (not so much a lie but more of a WRONG statement).
Maybe I am just a cynic, but I am finding to be increasingly true.
And as for the "Your family are always there" shit, what of those who have no family (or at least one that is just not there in the traditional sense)? I can't exactly talk to them or even have them acknowledge my existence.

The way I see it is that you may as well go about your business as usual.

Yea, there's always going to be a void there if you don't find someone to fill it up. That's a reality. But the real reality is that there is no puzzle piece out there who can fit you perfectly. The best you can do is jam and glue a piece that's close to you and hope that it stays in.

Your band might not have a drummer, but acoustic bands are cool and they do just fine.
i'm leaving the site. I like scene kids, but all of us together in one place dulls our uniqueness and defeats the purpose of us being different. Yes, what I'm saying is "you're all the same".

Hahaha, I know how you feel. While relationships really arn't everything, and we don't need someone to complete our lives right now, it doesn't mean you don't get lonely. I don't think theres a lot you can do about that, but don't ever resort to an empty relationship if the opportunity comes up. Right now, you need to focus on your self growth: put your passion and energy into school, or a hobby that means a lot to you. Better that then let it bottle up at your expense wishing for someone to be with. Smile

I feel so lonely without my best freind. I love them, but they don't lke me like that. I can't help but cry. They know that they screwed me up, but they won't help me. I hope things get better.

I feel this way all the time, and yes another person who is really special will make this feeling go away and be replaced with one of happyness. For me this isn't an option, but you certainly can find someone who loves you it'll, just take time. Until then stop the self pity and find something to do.
