"Emo is a Genre of Music, Scene is the Fashion"

by soldierofsorrows on 06-27-2009 11:24 pm

*LOCK* Get over it. Emo is music. Scene is fashion AND support of your local music scene. Punk is different. You can't be music since if it were true then I can be Rap or country or Classical. There. End of discussion. Go fight on AIM or something. GET LIVES!

Well too bad. It's to stop all of these pointless discussions. I'm sick and tired of them.

I would like to point out that emo is music but emo s also a look that came from the music scene is different. Emo is supposedly expressing how people feel in the way they dress... dark clothes to show it is what they think of life hair covering the face to hide, scene is ppl with funny coloured hair and a shit load of neon how exactly is that emo??? you need to think about that before u say scene is the look that goes wih emo music...

Im classed as 'Emo' where im from, but i have big scne hair, and i dont tend to listen to emotive types off music anymore, im away from ,that, punk rock (Y) and no, im not a poser, lick my butt crack more pls Smile

(i meant to look for photobucket on google) and i came across this website and post

I can see everyone likes to complain that they get mistreated because they're emo/scene.. fair enough you gotta talk about it somewhere. you want tips, fair enough, dont we all need a boost to it?

But.. i come here.. emo is a genre of music ONLY?
Nahh bludd
Bull crap.
It used to be yeah, emo originated in united states washinton as a music genre of that music, also known as 'Emotive' emo for short
Then the people who likes that music joined on and dressed how ever they did in the 80's, people misunderstood what emo meant and so it became emotinal. now.. correct me if im wrong.. BUT WE HAVE COME 20 YEARS SINCE THEN
I get fuck'd when i hear people batteling to say whats emo whats scene.

emo isnt just music anymore, we've come to far for that, ever since the 90's emo develouped into fashion too.. JUST LIKE PUNK
Now, you guna call them posers too? So ironic..
I know what your tryin to say, scene is the fashion off the emotive music
No, your wrong
They both dress in two COMPLETLY DIFFERANT WAYS, Emo's tend to dress, as a steriotype, black or grey skinnys, black, white band t shirts, jet black hair or dark brown with a long fringe, spiked or not.
Now, where i live.. THATS TRUE. you can suck my nutts if you think it aint, it so totaly fits.
Scene, the sterio type is this.. They dress usualy in bright cloths, wanting to stand out to show that they're hot, usualy (now're days, not so much seen rofl) they tend to wear bright skinnys, blue, purple, red etc, bright baby cake tops or what ever, and usualy wears things like thomas the tank engine, hello kitty and stuff around they're necks and on their bags, anything differant.. This has CHANGED. There are two 'Dress codes' off scene now. Although we do infact get the occasinal person to dress like this, thats not the only fashion now. The tops tend to be checkered shirts, white t shirt underneath, blue denum or just TRENDY jeans, still like to wear converse/vans (dont we all? Wink) or anything that is from big shop names like TOPSHOP or OUTFIT, not just blue banana etc.
Now, if one off my friends, who is classed as an emo (oh fuck off if you think emo is a bad word, got cut your self over it-FIT IN THE STERIOTYPE MORE rofl.) said that he is a scene kid and to stop calling him emo.. id most probbaly rofl and take the piss out off him for the rest off the day
The music off the two also differs, emos.. they tend to listen to sceamo, emotive, etc, THEY DONT ALWAYS I KNOW, like me for instance.. and scene tend to listen to rave shit, pop punk or punk rock music from what i can see, i like punk rock my self (the maine, mayday parade, the afters). I myself am classed as an 'Emo', but i dont follow these codes as a true guide, not like you guys,
I dress how i want, not saying im unique, no emo/scene person is, we dress the same ffs,
I wear skinnys going places and stuff, but i also wear trackies and shorts when i cant be fucked when i walk around the house with my mates, and if you follow emo/scene as a code

YOU ARE THE POSER.

Try and correct that, because you know im fuckin right, you just want to see this to the end and get people to stop calling you emo, get a life,

But the point to this post was, The thing is, emo/scene? its dying from what it used to be

Its changing to more off a fashion, not the music now, i know its hard for you to beleive that, now your gunna say im a poser cause i said its a fashion, but from what i see now're days
Its true, because the hair is so fxkin awsome, its even been on the radio, 'The NOW hair is the BIG hair', they didnt say the NOW hair is the BIG hair, and then get that woman to say coipyright terms and conditions that you must listen to emotive music
Things have changed alot in 10 years from when emo started up its wild craze in 2000-1998
Deal with it.. hot scene/emo people have, and that twists your insides because you know one day they're gunna go, and so is everyone else, with only the mingers left, and will be hunted down and killed like animals
Thats not whats gunna happen, the next generation will catch on to what emo used to be,and the craze will start again.. then die again, just like its repetadly done.. Smile

And everyone who uses this website are either depressed, wanting guidance off who there are, or a hippacrits and go on a website called EMOBUCKET and say emo is a bad word and are flat out posers or Wemos (Wanna be emos)

Stop trying to be someone your not, they have already been taken. :3

You know what.
Fucking Amen.
Even if it was hard to take you seriously.

And would you liek to go through reverything ever said inthis world to realise that just because some people say it is wrong does not necesarilly mean it is wrong. but no i mean c'mon punk was both so who is to say emo isnt. I am emo not scene i wear a alot of black want hello kitty to die. and i listen to emo music. but how is it that wearing neon and leapord print and all that crap is for emo music when emo music is dark. it does not make sense to me. you have emo, scene, punk and goth all of wich are commonly mistaken to be one or the other.
