As suggested by Classicfall.
Anyone interested in making a newsletter for the forum?
There needs to be an editorial team
- editor, someone who is good with English, and good with bbcode.
This person will be in charge of the rest of the newsletter team, and of assembling the newsletter.
- music expert. someone who knows about bands and their music, and is able to write articles about them.
- fashion guru. Some one who knows abut fashion and can write articles about it.
- beauty expert, someone who knows abut hair and make up and can write articles about both.
- Games guy/gal. yup you guessed it, someone who can write articles about games.
- movie critic. 4 movies a month? (4 50-100 word reviews)
- Book reviewer. 4 books a month? (4 50-100 word reviews)
- health and well being, anyone any good at giving advice on staying healthy and keeping in shape?
Got any suggestions of other parts the newsletter could have?
Maybe a mod report? so the mods can keep people up to date with the official side of stuff? (lol kinda like a police report)
I suggest that the articles be 200-400 words in length. Pictures can be included (but keep them small). All articles would get PMd to the Editor, who would then assemble the newsletter, and post it in the bucket. Then PM a mod asking for it to be stickied for the duration of that issue.
People then could discuss the articles in that thread.
I'd suggest trying to have one issue a month.
Post any suggestions here.
To apply for editor, just post your answer here
Why do you think you will do a good job on the newsletter? (in about 20-50 words)
lets see if we can have the first issue out by new years eve.
EB newsletter.

I could probably do the books or movies or something.
Would the movies be any movie, or would they have to be current movies? (same question for books)
I think I could do a fairly good job contributing to the newsletter. I have good grammar and writing skills IMHO.
Plus, I don't type LyK3 Th1$ so people will actually understand what i'm saying.

I'd be willing to edit it, but I'm not good with BBcode.
I'd also be willing to do the book reviews.
EDIT:
Nevermind, I looked BBcode up, It's mostly HTML, which I'm ok with.

I'm pretty good with code.
On a serious note, I'm very good with code, BBcode's like fail for basic html, I'm in.

RE: EB newsletter.
I'd like to apply for editor.
And to answer your question, KK:
I believe I would make a good editor because,
a) I'm good with grammar, and I know how to make necessary cuts when an article is too long. I'm also fairly proficient with BB.
b) I can organize groups well.
c) The position would work well with my schedule, and I'd be able to stay dedicated to organize what the rest of the team is doing.

I want to write about fashion! ;D
EDIT: But I'll let everybody else write about it too (or maybe give me suggestions of what to write about, because I'm not that good at coming up with great things to write about..).

I would apply for the game editor but, I'm not sure if you want reviews about new games, which I can still do, or you could allow some old ones.
Either way, I would still do it. =]
Too bad Xeno left, he would be really good at it.

Alright I say we give Classicfall Editor. So as it stands now:
Editor - Classicfall
Movies - Mcr666?
Books - rockitemokid
HELLOSHiTTY - Fashion
If anyone has any objections, it's easily changed.
Also we still need

Aside from being good with English and BBcode
I think it's safe for me to say that I am the least qualified person here to write articles seeing as I live under a rock. The health thing would be the only one that I could even come close to and even then I don't really even take my own advice even though I should. All the others I am at least 6 years behind the times on and I was out of style then too.

I could do music.
1. I know most everything about the bands I listen to and what I don't know I could always research. It would be a learning expirience.
2. Music is basically my life line and I probably know most bands out there.
3. I've always liked giving bands reviews and sharing my opinion about them with other people.
