Depends on how you thin it. If you do a lot of layers, it's perfect for the scene look.
Scenesters might have big, thick hair, but it's all about backcombing and teasing. Their hair is very straight and flat before they start the whole process.
I don't like tacos.

i have thick hair
yeah its a mess to handle
but its better then thin hair, where everytime you brush it falls off
or everytime you dye it gets damaged to the extreme since your hair is already thin.
thick hair in my case is better
it puts up more volume without using any hair products
it grows healthier
you can dye it with out having it thinned too much
and teasing and backcombing is easier to lift
since you already have natural volume

Coming from someone with EXTREMELY thick hair, the grass is always greener on the other side.
Sure, I sometimes wish that I had thin hair because it looks cuter with a certain hairstyle, and because it's easier to dry - but I like my bangs thick, other wise they're like little strands. Not attractive.
I think it's really all about getting the right hair cut, if you have thin hair - get a flattering haircut for thin hair. If you have thick, Likewise.
