people will ask you that when your wearing a headband or handband on your arm, don't ignore tell them "No"
if you ignore them then they will take it as a "Yes"

people usually pop up and pull up my sleeve to check. Even my parents check. I only cut when something big happens which is every 1 or 2 months so i never got caught.

i have been asked this a couple of times but this is after they ask me if i'm emo.ironicly my dentist asked me once because she noticed i was wearing a arm warmer i admitted "yes" and she told me about how her daughter used to cut herself and she was telling me there are other ways to express myself i've been trying to stop cutting myself i now write poems and cry instead of cutting myself and crying but its hard for me not to cut myself i guess this sounds kind of sick but cutting myself made me feel alot better i am trying to stop.

people r always coming up and asking and sometimes they pull up my sleves and i cut frequently and infect it so it leaves realy deap puffy scars so they always see them and make fun of me later

thats happened to me b4 i was randomly walking at school and all thses guys playing soccor arelike are you emo and i said no go away and even some of my old boyfriends came up to me and said are you emo, show me ur wrists to prove it so i pulled my wrists out and u kno what...............all the cuts were on the other side XD i kne they were gonna ask sooner or later and after a while they stopped, i hate when they gang up on u like that -.-'

It doesn't happen much anymore... Of course, I'm not around many people who don't know that I -did- cut anyway.
I was standing outside the building of the place I hang out at, though...And people driving by just randomly shouted out "EMO!"
Which was weird. Because they usually shout obscenities.
I guess it didn't help that it was at night, raining, I happened to be wearing all black, and I had my hair in my eyes...
