Where i live (Perth, Western Australia) we don't have much choice in the emo/scene clothes on offer. We have 1 chain store in 4 locations that sells various coloured skinny jeans (Not prints, Just colours) and thats it. So really any body from here (Or anyone else living in a low variety area) can by all rights march through the city wearing the exact skinnies as about 20-30 other teens in the same vicinity (Based on in real life encounters >.>)
So what can we do to fix this? The original concept of any fashion is to be different and unique. And with a fashion as creative as scene/fashioncore there is always a way to be different no matter how low in choices you are.

There are so many options lying around your house that are at your disposal, I'm going to list some off here and write a few suggestions along with how they can be used.
Badges
There are some gorgeous badges out there that can really put an adorable spin on any item of clothing (These ones were taken from Monster-Munch)
These versatile little gems can be arranged anyway you want them, Use your creative imagination and experiment until your result is something super cool and unique (:
Rips And Tears

A simple yet rougher customization, Rips and tears have been popular for decades.
The best technique is to use a file or sandpaper to wear them down and then rip with your hands. Using scissors looks too clean and really doesn't capture the look.
A cool twist on your torn skinnies can be to wear tights or fishnets underneath them, Not only does it look great but it can help if you feel uncomfortable about showing your legs.
Be warned, Rips and tears do grow. If you are going to use this method of customization be gentle with them unless you want those stylish rips and tears to turn into fashion tragedies that render your jeans useless.
Needle And Thread
A cool idea, But a horrid mistake when not executed right. If you are not familiar with sewing (or aren't very good at it) but are still interested in this idea, Learn on smaller things like pillows and sheets until you know you aren't going to completely mess up. The use of needle and thread on your skinnies has a range of different uses, From sewing on a patch to thread cool designs into your skinnies. Think creativly with your patterns guys, You can do anything with them from cute little tigers to your favourite song lyrics , It's all up to you.

Similar to patches except you attach these to your clothing via an iron (No, Not a hair straightener).

A classic punky look. Like the rips and tears it adds a rough, but stylish look to your jeans.
This customization is best paired with rips and tears, But it's not necessary.
Thread them through your jeans however you see fit.
