So these are things I write. Perhaps poems, sometimes when I'm writing, I compose music in my brain to go with it... Let me know what you think, good and bad comments welcome.

East Coast Sunrise

It was a fairy tale ending
Our heroine and the Red King
Starry eyed heroine sings of her love
As her lover holds her tight
East coast sunrise
lights up the ice
Interstate 85
where you and I shared our life
The King leaves for war
crossing the land to distant shores
violence and strife color the ground blood red
conquest on two battlefields
Castle dreams and beauty queens
Separated by reality

Random Misc Stuff

These will be misc things that I never really expanded on. Fleeting thoughts, but worthy enough to be put here. Each different piece is a different color.
Lady of the night, obscured faces
bedroom eyes hide her identity
stolen moments, borrowed time
sunlit smile, would-be lies.
If guitar strings and piano keys could make you stay
I'd never stop singing
Tears in my voice, and a scream in your eyes.
Sign language romance
each unique dance,
bodies swaying in time.
Hide your new indulgence
Ashamed to be found
Obedient I wait
not making a sound.
Another day, another place
you're frozen in time
erase this face
it's the perfect crime.
Put me away with your cigarettes
Two things best kept at bay
Your cancer is my company
The precious face you love to hold
is that which others cannot know.
My favorite skyline is your silhouette
Blend the colors into the sky
pave the gravel roads with crystal

I could never find the spring in your eyes
The seasons never changed
It's so fucking hot, but baby summer is so far [lost/gone/off]
Sweating in the snow brings hypothermic dreams

I organized the stars in the winter sky,
filed them away for later
sorted them by color, as compared to your eyes

I did my best to try and chase away the hurt
I told you to trust me and lay it on the line
I told you to give me a chance and some of your time
I whispered in your ear and tried to calm you down
I reminded you that no matter what, I'd always be around
I kissed you on the cheek and began to stroke your hair
I wanted to tell you so badly about the life that we could share
But I knew you wouldn't want to hear it
Your life is complete without me near it
You have things to do, you have your friends
So for now I'll pray to God this night will never end
If this is how it has to be, I'll take what I can get
I may be wasting time, but it's time I won't regret.
