People used to do it to(i think just males) in the Jewish religion i do believe. My baby cousin, Andrew, got it done when he was born, but i'm not sure how a female could. I'm not sure i really want to know?

Female circumcision generally involves 'sewing her closed', and sometimes removal of the clitoris.

To me...circumcision of the female is way more genital mutilation than male is..your cutting out the woman's clitoris out and sewing her up so all she can do is have her period and pee...she cant enjoy masturbating and sex is painful..when they have sex it rips them open so they have to be sewn back up its horrible and not needed..

now im not saying that male circumcision is totally right or needed..its all about your point of view..but men can still enjoy sex and they can still enjoy masturbating after they have been circumcised..they are two completely different things..two completely different ways of going it at...its not fair for the women...for men..its not the same thing...its not as bad...

I find Women circumcision a little bit more crazy then men circumcision even if women circumcision is rarer.

Sewing a woman's vagina together so she can't ever have sex? That's a little harsh.

I always sort of assumed that a man's circumcision was just for health and being clean and religious reasons. The whole not having as much pleasure in sex sucks. More people should be aware of that.

Usually female genital mutilation is done at the age of seven.
Both are bad, but done to a female is torture for their whole lives.

Uh, yes it does matter and it is most certainly not a choice. Circumcision removes the foreskin which contains a lot of the pleasure-sensing nerves alone but also protects the head. When the foreskin is removed those pleasure-sensing nerves are lost and to top it all off the male's head is constantly brushing up against SOMETHING. This eventually desensitizes the remaining pleasure sensing nerves.

First off, that was just rude.
I posted my opinion and you attacked me for it.
I'm not exactly the most educated about Male circumcision, but most of the guys I've ever met had no problem with it at all. Not only that, but it doesn't bother me whether a guy is or isn't circumcised.

As for the latter of that paragragh.
I asked my boyfriend out. I pay for most of what we do.
I stick up for myself, and all I want is honesty.
You don't HAVE to pay for the girl all the time, and if you think it's something you MUST DO.
Then you are purely ignorant.

As for sex, a lot of people aren't aware of what that does.
I don't want to get any more innappropriate than that.

Oh my god your all fucking crazy! Your comparing something that has been done that is usually deeply biblical to someone getting their tits cut off? Seriously thats your comparison? First off, the difference between circumcised and uncircumcised is not that much different. You talk about not being able to choose, yet some of you find nothing wrong with abortion? Babies cannot make choices for themselves because they are fucking babies. Does that mean if a baby doesn't want to eat it's baby food we shouldn't have to let it? Come on people. I am circumcised and I'm glad I am. It's not deforming, it's cutting away at a little extra skin.

Your comparing it to extreme mutilation and it's not what it is. Ask any doctor and they say that it's perfectly fine. Lets compare female the cases of circumcised women to men, lets really see what the numbers are. Your all being ridiculous in your opinions and have stated nothing logical in the least bit. Your all using 'what if' scenarios.

1. Read the book of Genisis in the Bible. It tells why male circumsision is religious.

2. I think it should be a choice whether or not a male wants to have it done. It does halp with cleanliness, but it lessens sensation. Choices.
