Barbecuing is fun. And I suggest you do it this way:
Buy one of those mini barbecues you can take anywhere. [Make sure you get all the essential parts and accessories]
Buy any meat you like. Try things out for the first time cause it's funner that way. I like Chicken breast for example.
Get a bunch of sauces and spices that you might like to put on the chicken. [Make sure you have one of those brush thingies to slab the sauce on.]
Stick the chicken on the barbecue, wait a while, flip, wait, flip, poke, test, and eat!
Yayy :] You have a barbecue.

Welsh Rarebits - by Jamie Oliver
you gotta use thick slices of crusty bread x 2, mix an egg, some creme fraishe and some mustard powder. add grated cheese x lots and salt'n'pepper. toast the bread a bit, spread with chilli jam/sauce, add the eggy/cheesy mix and grill. add a bit of Worcestershire sauce and eat.
if you don't know who jamie oliver is, use google.

Except that they have to import Mac & cheese and it's fucking expensive (and I don't burn it). And I can't do steak (nor do I want to).
I survived so far, without going too much to the Subway, Pizza Hut, McDonalds etc. that are just around the corner. I do pay the Thai take-away a visit sometimes (it's just on the opposite side of a very narrow street and I just love fried rice).
I have lunch at work. I "have to" anyway, because all of our departement are going together. So I already get a full meal a day. I don't eat much in the evening, a yoghurt, an ice-cream if it's very hot, or nothing. I think I actually lost a little bit of weight.
Anyway, here are two summer recipes:
- Code:
Greek Lemon Soup
(for 1 person)
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon instant chicken broth
1 1/2 tablespoon of rice
1/2 lemon
yellow of one egg
pinch of sugar
- boil water, take down from flame, put in instand broth, boil again
- reduce heat (to 1/2?) put rice in, let it soak for 15 minutes
- press out the lemon juice, mix it in a warm plate with yellow of egg
- season soup to taste with sugar and maybe salt
- put soup in plate and immediately stir with egg/juice
- Code:
Insalata Caprese
tomatoes
mozzarella
basil
olive oil
black pepper
- cut tomatoes and mozzarella in slices
- put mozzarella slices on plate
- put tomato slices on them
- put a fresh basil leaf on each
- put olive oil over it (maybe balsamico vinegar, too)
- mill black pepper over it

Thankyou!
I'm not too sure about the soup, but the other might go well with steak.

heres something I invented one day when here wasn't much around to eat, and I didn't feel like going out to get food.
- wow.... me inventing recipes... never thought it would happen.
One Pot Meal - Rice Eggs and Veg
1 handful uncooked rice
1 handful frozen veg
1 or 2 eggs
herbs - your choice
1 handful grated cheese
salt and pepper
chili sauce - if you want.
Boil some water, add the rice, when the rice is nearly cooked add the veg and break the eggs into the water, and add the herbs. When the eggs and veg are cooked, drain them and the rice. put it in a bowl add the cheese, salt and pepper and the chili sauce.

ooh... I have one... their so good...
Parmesan Crusted chicken:
THINGS YOU NEED!
-Bread crumbs ( Panko bread crumbs if you can get it, but normal works too)
-Parmesan cheese
-Chicken breasts
-olive oil
Mix the Parmesan cheese and the breadcrumbs in a bowl. (even amounts)
take the chicken and coat it in a thin layer of Parmesan/breadcrumb mixture.
Put the stove on medium-high, and put some olive oil in the pan (like 3 or 4 tablespoons depending on the size of your pan).
Put the chicken in the pan, and fry it until golden brown on both sides, and cut the chicken in half to see if its cooked through.
This stuff is absolutely ridiculously good, and easy to make.

Easiest vegan pasta sauce ever.
- tomato sauce / tomato pasta sauce (doesn't matter)
- your favourite beans (I prefer black beans, or kidney beans)
- salt
- pasta (duh)
optional:
- sliced mushrooms
- onion
boil the pasta by following the instructions, heat up the tomato sauce on the oven or in the microwaver, and put in the beans (as much as you want to), salt, and if you want, mushrooms and a little onion. Let it boil for a couple of minutes.
Put the sauce over the pasta and serve with a nice salad.
It's not 'omfg, this is sooo good!' but if you're in a hurry, it's great. You can add pretty much whatever you want in the sauce, I just wrote the things I usually put in.
