can search someones username so I can add them

I want to add one of my friends who is on this site but he doesn't come on much and I don't see a search bar anywhere so I can search his username is there one??

help me please

This will only work if he has posted before

Then you search his/her username and click on it when you find a post by him/her.

As far as I know there is no way to do this

Uhh, if you type in half the name (For you just type Metal) Then it will work. It needs to have more than one result or it will come up with that error thing.
