I don't think the post is stupid. I'm black (male too, double rare!) and pretty emo, although more of a goth. I think background is def important, but I grew up in GA where everyone else is Southern or gangster. as far as I know I'm practically the only black guy to dress this way, but it's cool I've had people ask me if I'm in a band or if I model. Maybe eventually more black ppl will just do what they want and not listen to society. Or maybe not.

anyone can be emo. im emo and im mixed with black, hawaiian, white, cuban, and native american....but my best friend is black and we're both emo....anyone can be what they want

I wondered the same thing .-. (was the stupidest thing i said) Thats a bit harsh though.Every time Im doing a picture they say I look gangster, So i role as gangster scene -_- I saw one dude who scared me though. I think it was the hair.
