My pick is this decade. Here's my reasoning:
Music is more widely available now than it has been ever before. With the internet, people can listen to practically anything that has existed. Bands that would have never gone anywhere now have followings due to word-of-mouth via the web.
To detractors of the radio and what it plays: There's satellite radio now. I have Sirius and it's excellent. There are plenty of stations that play music from specific genres; I listen to a station that strictly plays punk and pop/punk, as well as multiple stations of independent music. There are also stations that play music specifically by decade - so if you're one of those who dislikes the "current state of music," you can listen to supposedly better, older music.
Bands strive to do more unique and creative things, since it's supposedly "all been done before." More styles of music have been created this decade than in any previous decade. And, of course, if bands don't make the effort to do something new, "what was once old is new again."
So now that I've talked a while, what's your favorite decade in music?
(I apologize for the lack of older decades, but come on, are you seriously going to pick the 1920s?)

I agreed with Bug in the poll.
If it wasn't 2000's it would be the 1960's

I dont know how I would have made it through without you, thank you for being my best friend. I love you so, so, much. You're my hero, and you seriously mean the world to me, I just really can't express that to you enough. So yeah.

2000's. I'm pretty much in agreement with bug, so read his post.
I would have consensual gay sex with Brian Wilson in a totally non gay way.

I think the 1930's or whatever time Blues started was huge, because blues pretty much started all modern music.

I pick 1980's.
Because I love hardcore and electro-pop. Haha.
But I like this decade as well.
Tzelma: the first record I got was an Ace of Base record, lol.

I guess I'd agree with Bug on this.
I'd say either the 2000's or the 90's.

I conformed and started reading the Twilight series, pity me.

You should add "future" to the list, because I really think we are almost there.

I don't think it's fair to pick it, seeing as we don't exactly know how it will turn out.
