Ok... I know this is very weird and I don't know if they really meant it...
My whole family is Muslim except for me.
I just don't believe in it, I've tried it like 10000 times...
I had a fight with my dad about it and he said that he's going to kill me if I'm not going to believe in it.
Ramadan starts in like a month or so, which means muslims can't eat from sunrise to sunset.
I'm really afraid they're going to do something to me if I don't fast with them...
What would you do? (I've already thought of suicide... -_-" )
May sound stupid, but if they try to hurt me and I go to the police or whatever, do I still have to live with them afterwards?

P.S. YES, my dad is crazy enough to kill someone... Especially for the family honor.

fake it for now. You have to keep yourself safe.
They cant make you believe in something you don't. just pretend you do.

I just noticed that you are 16. you might have other options, depending on your countries laws. I know that some countries (UK and Australia)have support systems in place for older teens (16+), so you might not have to life with your family...... its worth looking into.

my mom is so fuckin religious it drives me crazy...just pretend, make them think you are. That's what I do.

As Kittens said, research the options you have.

If you can get out of that house, try.
If you think it's too risky or you can't, fake it 'till it's over. Once you're out of there you can do whatever you want. You can try to pretend without believing it.

I agree with above. And to answer your second question. You prob. wouldnt live with them. You would prob. live in a foster home. If you feel extreamly life threatened run away to the cops. good luck

Okay, Here's What I Say, I Know It Might Be VERY Hard To Do This, But If You Don't Believe In It, You Have To Stand Up For That. I'm An Atheist, My Entire Family Is Cristian, It Was Hard For Me To Tell Them What I Believed In. And Some Of Them Tried To Force Their Religion On Me. But If You Don't Stand Up For What You Believe In, Then I Think It's Just Hiding A Part Of Yourself, Like Changing Yourself Just To Make Others Happy. And If He Threatins(sp?) Again, Then Go To The Police. They Can Get Him For A Threat Like That. I Know He's Your Dad, And I'm Sure You Love Him A Lot, But You Shouldn't Have To Live In Fear Like That. No Body Should. It's Just Wrong. You Stand Up For You Beliefs And Many People Will Have Respect For You For Doing So, I Know I Will. But If You Hide It, Then It Will Be The Exact Opposite. But I Do Have Faith In You That You Will Stand Up For You Beliefs. If I Could, I Would Help You Through If Better Than Just Writing A Post On Your Forum. But Even From Where I Am, I Will Stand With You For Defending Your Beliefs.

Try to actually understand other cultures and how some things are so much more important there than it is where you are. Religion is a perfectly good reason for some to kill for, especially when it is connected to the family honour. Simply defying your families beliefs isn't that easy when there is a high chance that you will be killed for it - I'm 100% sure you would keep silent were you in his position. Each year there are countless of people who are either killed or driven to suicide due to "bringing shame to the family honour".

That Is A Valid Point, But You Are Wrong About Me Not Standing Up For It, If I Were In His Shoes, I Definatly Would Stand Up For Myself. And If I Would Die In The End, At Least I Would Have Died Knowing I Did Something That People Some People Would Have Been Proud Of. Just Like In The Middle Ages Or Whatever, How All Of Those People Stood Up For Their Beliefs. I Would Have A Sense Of Accomplishment Before I Would Of Died.
