Apocalypse , End of world

So the worlds pritty messed up , Global warming , war , world hungar . Will the world collapse . Will jugment day come . What do you think ?

I think we've been through similar scares before. War's always been around, and though nuclear weapons have given us the ability to destroy nations, nuclear deterrence has become a useful stabilising force. Especially in the form of SSBN's (Major cookies if anyone knows that these are) which virtually ensure second-strike abilities. So nuclear war is unlikely to wipe out the human race.

Hunger has always been around, maybe it's getting worse nowadays but calling it the end of the world is a stretch. So far.

Global warming is interesting; I don't think it'll be the end of the world, but there's gonna be some changes.

As for Judgment Day, not being religious I don't believe in it.



Lets call a spade a spade, if the world is going to end, it'll be because of zombies. Now if they're the slow kind my foolproof zombie-survival backup plan will allow me to survive ok. (Perhaps YOU don't have a zombie-survival plan. Perhaps you are a fool.)

But if it's the fast ones like in 28 Days Later, we're all screwed.

I heard that a tribe in south America has predicted the first an the second world war, 9/11 and the vietnam war on the exact date and now they said that the world will collaps on the 23rd of december 2012.. I don't believe in this cause the world is still in a good order today so why should the world get such worse in 4 and a half years??
I think that the world WILL collapse but when that happens, we don't live anymore so I don't really care about this and live my life

23rd december 2012 , I have sorta heard that before think it was in the bible . As for zombie back up plan , of course I have one , sinse was bout 10 ( not being sarcastic in anyway ) . Zombie thingy in bible I think . Well if by chance BNP gets into power , Hitler is brought back and my father is the general , I think we are in deep poopy .

Judgement Day was invented to scare people.

There are several things though that could happen that could destroy this planet we live one. I once read Beteigeuze turning into a super nova would be kinda unhealthy.

-Global warming? Years ago they were worried about global COOLING. The Earth cools down, then it goes back up, then it cools, then it warms... dont believe paraphrased news cut outs and movies like the one Al Gore made.

Oh, I have plans. But then everyone would copy it, seeing as everyones gonna try cars / boats / planes.

But I'm in a town of like 7,000 with EVERYTHING within blocks. And loads of weapons within minutes

im worried about global warming but c'mon the world can end any day
it could happen tommorow or 5 mins after you read this. or maybe when your watching tv. It can happen anytime.
the scientific theory is that the world will end in the next 5 Million
years due to the sun dying out. It will explode cause a black hole earth will be sucked in. I cant say i believe it, its a prediction
but i think the world can end anyday.

Big enough comets / Asteroids. And some sort of wave which would kill all life on the planet, cant remember what it's called.

I don't know if the sun has enough mass to cause a black hole if it goes nova, but by the time it reaches red giant status it's surface will extend all the way to Earth or so.

this reminds me of the tim burton movie beetlejuice. i still remember that funny banana boat scene, a bit surreal and demented. definitely a burton classic.

on topic
there's also the possibility of the sun failing in five billion years, which spells danger on every life in the galaxy, and would force us to either look for other galaxies to live in, or journey across the space sea and deploy a thousand payloads to the center of the dying sun and reignite it.

hard, but at least both choices are epic.
