Then again the people that only eat fried food would starve unless they changed, Fried Food is food Veggies is food, it dosent matter if its useless it is a need.

Even if the government bans alcohol or weed, what good does it do?
People would and will find ways of obtaining the substance that no longer exists.
Woo flashback to the 1920s Alcohol Prohibition in America...didn't work so well now did it? Nope, people smuggled beer in anyway, not to mention during the 1920s organized crime was on a rapid incline so the products still existed regardless...
The government can only extend their control so far before the public begins to rebel the legislated law. History is full of them. Did anyone learn anything from history or at least 1984 (Orwell, George)?
It's up to the person to do what they want with their life.
They fuck up, well they are either dead, or having to deal with guilt the rest of their life.

Help prevent future accidents. Both alcohol and weed are dangerous, whethe r you personally enjoy them or not. Alcohol isn't banned because it is so engrained in our society, it would be impossible to ban it. However, to let every other form of drug be legal, just because alcohol is - well, two wrongs don't make a right.

The prohibition was a temporary experiment.

Yes, I agree that the gov. should have it's power decreased. However, pulling Orwell into this - and presenting it like... facts? - won't help you.
